Grassroots: Osogbo residents laud Oyebamiji's infrastructural plan, throw weight behind his candidature ..hail wife for sponsoring massive road grading in Olobedu community

The leaders and residents of Olobedu community in Ayekale-Ota-Efun Area, Osogbo have thrown weight behind the candidature of the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly called AMBO. 

The enthusiastic residents expressed confidence in Oyebamiji's charismatic quality and administrative experience to lead Osun to enviable heights when elected Governor. 

The community residents equally extolled Oyebamiji's spouse, Dr. Sekinat Bola-Oyebamiji for sponsoring and embarking on massive grading of all their community's roads. 

Dr. Sekinat Bola-Oyebamiji has earlier facilitated the grading of all the linking internal roads across the five zones that made up the community as the grading exercise began immediately. 

Speaking on behalf of the residents of the community, the central Chairman, Olobedu community, Alhaji Azeez Sikiru said the grading exercise marked the beginning of great things in the community. 

He disclosed that no such intervention had been benefitted from anyone since the community came to being, noting that "this is the very first time we will have external support to advance the cause of our community."

Alhaji spoke further: "Without mincing words, we are benefitting external support for the very first time in the history of this community that has been in existence for years. No one, either government or individual, has supported us like this before. This is the first time we will be seeing a spouse of a political party's governorship candidate to support us in grading our roads. For your information, Olobedu community is a town within a city. It is a very large community that comprised five zones with over 2,500 houses already completed with people living therein. It is quite unfortunate that, if not for this, no one remembers us for anything that is why we are praising the wife of the incoming Governor - Dr. Sekinat Bola- Oyebamiji for deeming it fit to support us with this grading. We thank him profoundly for counting us worthy. 

"As you can see, the work has commenced and they have been grading it and we are confident that when the grading exercise completes, it is going to ease mobility and enhance transportation in this community. Now the transport fares will be reduced drastically because what they overcharge us for is because of our deplorable state of road network in this community but now that the roads are being graded, it will become a thing of the past. 

"Let me say this, as a community, we have been facing a lot of challenges particularly road infrastructure and it is our collective  belief that with this grading, our people can ply easily as this will equally boost socioeconomic fortunes of our community. We are firmly ready to support Oyebamiji's candidature and ensure his victory in the forthcoming governorship election and pray Almighty Allah continue to grant all his heart desires and make him the next Osun Governor come August 15th this year that the governorship election will be held in Osun State.

"For you to know the extent of our suffering, there is a road that connects us to the other end of the society and whenever there is heavy rain and downpour, we find it practically impossible to navigate through and this is another challenge that we face. So, we are appealing for further support in this regard and lot more. We equally need transformers in our community too and many more."
