ICDA Honours Three Distinguished Personalities at Inaugural Ijesa Hall of Fame






‎The Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) has celebrated three eminent personalities from Ijesaland following their recognition at the maiden edition of the Ijesa Hall of Fame.



‎The honourees—Yeye Owa Dame Eunice Olayinka Obaleye, Her Excellency Ambassador Erelu Olusola Agbeja-Obada, and Prince Biodun Lufadeju—were conferred with the prestigious award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the development and advancement of Ijesaland.



‎The historic honour was bestowed by the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, as part of efforts to celebrate excellence, service, and enduring legacy among illustrious sons and daughters of the land.



‎In a statement, ICDA expressed appreciation to the monarch for his visionary leadership and commitment to recognising individuals whose contributions have significantly impacted the socio-economic and cultural growth of Ijesaland.



‎The inaugural ceremony, held at the iconic Obokungbusi Hall of Fame in Ilesa, attracted prominent personalities, including traditional rulers, professionals, and indigenes from across Nigeria and the diaspora.



‎Highlighting the profiles of the awardees, ICDA described Yeye Owa Dame Eunice Olayinka Obaleye as a renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist whose business ventures have created employment opportunities and empowered many within the community.



‎Ambassador Erelu Olusola Agbeja-Obada was recognised for her distinguished public service, including her roles in government where she contributed to infrastructural development and community welfare, notably through projects such as the Kajola-Ilesa water scheme and the establishment of a military base in Ibodi.



‎Prince Biodun Lufadeju was honoured for his cultural contributions, particularly as the composer of the Ijesa Anthem, a work widely regarded as a symbol of unity and identity among the Ijesa people.



‎According to ICDA, the Ijesa Hall of Fame initiative is designed to immortalise individuals whose legacies continue to inspire development and serve as a benchmark for future generations.


‎Chairman of ICDA and Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, commended the awardees for their exceptional achievements, noting that their recognition underscores the importance of service, sacrifice, and impactful leadership.



‎The assembly added that the honour serves as a call to action for present and future generations to contribute meaningfully to the growth of Ijesaland and build lasting legacies.

CELEBRATING EXCELLENCE & LEGACY: ICDA HONOURS THREE DISTINGUISHED ICONS AT THE INAUGURAL IJESA HALL OF FAME


It is with immense delight, profound admiration, and an overwhelming sense of collective fulfilment that the Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) joins the entire Ijesaland, at home and across the diaspora to celebrate three of its most distinguished, accomplished, and exemplary members; *Yeye Owa Dame Eunice Olayinka Obaleye, Her Excellency Ambassador Erelu Dame Olusola Agbeja-Obada, and Prince Biodun Lufadeju* on their well-deserved recognition as awardees of the prestigious Ijesa Hall of Fame.


This historic and momentous honour, graciously conferred by His Imperial Majesty, the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, marks a defining moment in the celebration of excellence, service, and enduring legacy.

The Ijesa Hall of Fame; a noble and forward-looking initiative, is thoughtfully designed to celebrate illustrious Sons and Daughters of Ijesaland whose remarkable investments have yielded transformative, far-reaching, and sustainable benefits to advance the development of Ijesaland, while inspiring future generations to emulate, aspire, achieve, and surpass  their remarkable accomplishments


All roads lead to the iconic Obokungbusi Hall of Fame, Ilesa, where an extraordinary convergence of eminent personalities, revered Traditional Rulers, accomplished professionals, and eminent Sons and Daughters of Ijesaland gather for this epoch-defining inaugural ceremony; an event that immortalizes excellence, enshrines legacy, and celebrates those whose lives have become shining beacons of purpose, resilience, and generational impact.


Among these exceptional honourees at the Ijesa Hall of Fame are three towering figures of ICDA, distinguished personalities whose contributions resonate across sectors and generations in Ijesaland and beyond:


*1. Yeye Owa Dame Eunice Olayinka Obaleye,* the highly revered Yeye Owa of Ijesaland, a quintessential embodiment of visionary entrepreneurship, refined leadership, and compassionate philanthropy. As the dynamic founder of Yinka Oba Foam and Allied Products Industries, she has built a formidable enterprise that not only contributes significantly to economic growth but also serves as a platform for empowerment, job creation, and social upliftment. Her life is a remarkable tapestry of excellence, grace, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the advancement of Ijesaland.


*2. Her Excellency Ambassador Erelu Olusola Agbeja-Obada,* an astute, distinguished, and highly respected stateswoman, exemplifies purposeful leadership and impactful public service at the highest levels. As a former, Minister of Defense and Deputy Governor of Osun State , her legacy is firmly rooted in strategic infrastructural development and community transformation. Her facilitation of the Kajola-Ilesa water project; an essential lifeline for countless communities in Ijesaland and the establishment of the Military Base in Ibodi stand as enduring testaments to her foresight, dedication, and unrelenting commitment to the welfare, security, and progress of her people in Ijesaland.


*3. Prince Biodun Lufadeju,* a gifted, visionary, and culturally inspired creative icon, who has indelibly enriched the heritage of Ijesaland through his composition of the Ijesa Anthem. His work transcends artistic brilliance; it is a deeply symbolic, unifying, and emotionally resonant masterpiece that encapsulates the pride, identity, shared history, and collective aspirations of the Ijesa people. Through his creativity, he has gifted Ijesaland a timeless cultural treasure.


These extraordinary personalities epitomize the very spirit and essence of the Ijesa Hall of Fame; individuals whose lives are defined by excellence, whose sacrifices yield lasting value, and whose legacies inspire admiration,ir emulation, and continuity. 


Their recognition is not merely ceremonial; it is a powerful affirmation of the limitless possibilities that emerge when passion meets purpose, and when success is intentionally channeled towards community advancement.


The Board and Management of Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) under the  leadership of Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, with great pride and heartfelt appreciation, celebrate these outstanding and exceptional ambassadors of progress in Ijesaland, whose remarkable contributions continue to elevate the stature of Ijesaland and legacies remain evergreen in the annals of Ijesaland’s history.
