It was a moment of celebration and glamour on Saturday, April 4, 2026, as the Ajimoko Hall of Sir Adedokun Haastrup Amenity Centre, located along Ijebu-Jesa Road in Ilesa, played host to a colourful reception marking the 65th birthday anniversary of Hon. Lawrence Babatunde Ayeni.
The atmosphere at the venue was electrifying, with cheers, excitement, and admiration from dignitaries, political associates, and well-wishers who gathered to honour a man widely described as one of impact, legacy, and service.
Guests were treated to an array of food and drinks, while popular entertainer Mega 99 kept the crowd engaged with lively musical performances throughout the event.
The high-profile gathering attracted several prominent personalities across political and social circles. Leading the dignitaries was the Father of the Day, Adejare Bello. Also in attendance were the Deputy Governor Candidate, Adereti, alongside Remi Omowaiye, Executive Director (Projects Implementation), Federal Ministry of Housing.
Other notable attendees included Sir. Kunle Odeyemi, Hon. Femi Kujembola, Hon. Amitolu Shitu, Hon. Lanre Balogun, Hon. Koyejo (Ede), Hon. Kamil Oyedele, Hon. Babatunde Festus Komolafe, Hon. In a major highlight of the event, Hon. Ayeni unveiled a campaign billboard sponsored by Ayeni Support Group, officially declaring his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat for the Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the 2027 National Assembly elections.
The celebration ended on a high note, marked by unity, honour, and a shared recognition of Ayeni’s influence and achievements.
