The University of Ilesa has announced plans to commission the David Olatunde Agbeja Moot Court, a newly completed facility at the institution’s Faculty of Law, on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
According to a statement issued by the university’s Corporate Services and Information Unit, the commissioning ceremony will be performed by Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, the Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland.
The state-of-the-art moot court facility was donated by Otunba (Lady) 'Debola Osibogun in honour of her late father, Chief David Olatunde Agbeja, as part of efforts to support legal education and academic excellence at the university.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, is expected to host dignitaries, members of the academic community, traditional rulers, and other guests at the landmark event.
The statement was signed by Babatunde Fanawopo, Senior Assistant Registrar, Corporate Services and Information Unit.
