The University of Ilesa, Osun State, is set to commission the Dame Eunice Olayinka Obaleye Entrepreneurship, Skills and Innovation Centre on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
The commissioning ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. and will bring together dignitaries from government, academia, industry and the traditional institution.
The centre, donated to the University by the late Dame Eunice Olayinka Obaleye, is designed to promote entrepreneurship, skills acquisition and innovation among students and members of the wider community.
The commissioning will be performed by His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilesa, Professor Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, FCA, will host the ceremony.
The new centre is expected to provide opportunities for students and other beneficiaries to develop practical skills, explore innovative ideas and build entrepreneurial capacity.
The project is also seen as an important contribution to the University’s efforts to prepare students for self-employment, enterprise development and the changing demands of the modern economy.
The University community and invited guests are expected to attend the commissioning ceremony.
