Tributes have continued to pour in for the Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Asiwaju Olayinka Lington Fasuyi, as he celebrates his 71st birthday on Sunday, October 25, 2026, with family members, traditional rulers, community leaders, youth organisations, associates and well-wishers celebrating his entrepreneurial achievements, philanthropy, visionary leadership and contributions to the development of Ijesaland.
The birthday celebration has also been marked by the release of new birthday photographs of the renowned entrepreneur and community leader, adding colour to an occasion that coincides with the 10th anniversary of his installation as the first Asiwaju of Ijesaland in October 2016.
The congratulatory messages highlight different aspects of his life, including his business achievements, family values, commitment to community development, bridge-building efforts and support for education, healthcare, youth empowerment and traditional institutions.
FAMILY CELEBRATES HIS VISION, VALUES AND ACHIEVEMENTS
In an emotional birthday tribute, Fasuyi's daughter, Mrs Omoloro Sijuwola Meshach (née Fasuyi), described him as "the best dad in the world", celebrating his determination to think beyond conventional expectations and pursue ambitious goals.
She recalled that while employment in the oil and gas industry was widely regarded as a desirable career destination, her father viewed it as a stepping stone towards greater entrepreneurial ambitions, eventually establishing Supreme and IBS.
Mrs Meshach also praised his decision to dedicate his time, resources, skills and professional networks to serving Ijesaland, rather than concentrating solely on personal comfort or political ambitions.
She commended his accountability, diligence and commitment to excellence in community service, while celebrating his love for recreation and adventure, including billiards and travels to 137 countries.
On family life, she expressed gratitude that her father prioritised instilling values and equipping his children with the tools for success rather than merely handing down wealth.
