The ancient Okemese Palace, the Royal Court of the Owa Obokun Adimula and Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, was filled with royal splendour and cultural significance on Saturday, November 7, 2026, as Chief Mrs Bolajoko Lufadeju was formally installed as the Risa Yeyerise of Ilesa.
The installation ceremony, held under the supervision of High Chief Hannah Ojo, the leader of female chiefs in Ijesaland, marked another important milestone in the life of Chief Mrs Lufadeju, a United Kingdom-based socialite with strong cultural ties to her Ijesa roots.
The traditional installation at the historic royal court reflected the enduring importance of Ijesaland's chieftaincy institution and the recognition of women who contribute to the preservation of its cultural heritage and traditional values.
As she assumes the distinguished title of Risa Yeyerise of Ilesa, Chief Mrs Bolajoko Lufadeju joins the ranks of women recognised within the traditional institution of Ijesaland.
The occasion was also an opportunity to celebrate her personality, cultural identity and connection with Ilesaland, while wishing her success in the responsibilities and expectations associated with her new traditional title.
KAKAKIOODUA Online Media congratulates Chief Mrs Bolajoko Lufadeju, Risa Yeyerise of Ilesa, on this well-deserved traditional honour.
May this new chapter bring her greater fulfilment, wisdom and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the progress, unity and cultural advancement of Ilesaland.
Congratulations, Yeye Bolajoko Lufadeju!
