OSUN APC EAGLES HAIL HON. AJIBOLA FAMUREWA AS HE SPONSORED THE SECOND EDITION OF MATHEMATICS AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETITION AMONG SS2 AND SS3 STUDENTS OF IJESA SOUTH FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY: PHOTOS






Osun East APC Online Social Media Gurus that support the All Progressives Congress (APC) using the SocIal Media to suppress the opposition parties, at their First Breakfast Meeting of Saturday, 31st March, 2018
adopted the name Osun APC Eagles for the group. Their first official outing was at the Hon. Ajibola Famurewa sponsored English and Mathematics competition for the SS2 and SS3 students of the Ijesa South Federal Constituency.

The group is using this publication to hail and appreciate this illustrious son of Ijesaland for his Initiatives at encouraging Ijesa students which is not common among his colleagues.

The final and the prize giving ceremony of the second edition of the competitions took place at the prestigious Ilesa Government High school compound on Saturday, April 21st, 2018.

Hon. Ajibola Famurewa represents Ijesa South Federal Constituency comprising of Ilesa East and West and Atakunmosa East and West and their LCDAs at the Abuja Federal House of Representatives.

This 2018 edition of the competition was organized for students preparing for o'level examinations.

The forms were earlier put at the disposal of principals of the public and private High schools of the constituency who consequently presented there best students for the competition.

The preliminary stage of the competition was held on Saturday 7th of April 2018 where about 200 students participated at four different centers simultaneously namely: Hope High School Ilesa, Methodist High School Ilesa, Iwara Government Middle and High school Iwara, Atakunmosa High school Osu at the end of 50 students qualified for the final stage of the competition which took place in the extra-modern Hall of Ilesa Government High School, Ilesa.





Some of the private schools that  participated along side Osun public Schools in the Constituency and Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency are Bibo Oluwa Academy, Divine Grace, Iloko Model College. The Students of Federal Technical College Ilesa, were also well represented.

The winner of the the Mathematics and English language competition went home each with a cash prize of one hundred thousand Naira. The second place prizes were fifty thousand Naira for each (Mathematics and English language) and third place winners got thirty thousand Naira each. Fourteen runner-ups (seven for Mathematics and seven for English language) got cash prize of ten thousand Naira each.


English Language Overall winner is Miss Babalola Opeyemi Caroline of Methodist Government High school, Ilesa. She won a star prizeof N100,000


First position in mathematics won by Olatunbosun Tomiwa of Bibooluwa Academy ,Ilesa. Star Prize N100,000.

Hon Ajibola Famurewa Maths & English Competition Ended With Plaudits

The ability to encourage young ones especially when it comes to academical related encouragement is peculiar only to those who value the importance of education.

Hon Ajibola Famurewa representing Ijesha South federal constituency has again organized secondary school mathematics and English competition.

The competition was first held at Osu, Iwara and two examination point in Ilesa covering Ilesa West and East respectively. Student that performed extremely good were selected and later invited for the Grand Final held at Ilesa Government High School, Ilesa.

At the end of the competition, ten students were selected from each category as the winner. . From Mathematics category:

1st. Olatunbosun Tomiwa
2nd. Awoniran Opeyemi
3rd. Opeyemi Oluwaseyi
4th. Adelaja Samuel
5th. Salami Rukayat
6th. Salawu Ganiyat
7th. Adedeji Ayomide
8th. Obembe Olakunle
9th. Olodo Muniz
10th. Olugbon Jamiu.

From English category:

1st. Babalola Opeyemi Caroline
2nd. Olowe Omolayo
3rd. Adetunji Ebunola
4th . Oyewole Boluwatife Lianah
5th. Abiodun Odunayo Oluwatosin
6th. Olamikusibe Adeola Peace
7th. Abereoje Folahanmi Pelumi
8th. Alegbeleye Olabode Ezekiel
9th . Hastrup Christopher Adedamola
10th. Adepegba Oluwabamise


The overall winner from each category went away with #100,000 as the giant price while others got between #50,000 and #10,000 as the position varies.

While addressing the gathering, The Provost, Osun State College of education, Ilesa Professor Kola Kazeem explains the importance of Education to the Students present at the programme.

"When you read,  you are free from pain and troubles in the future and when you do otherwise, the consequences is terrible"


 I thank Hon Ajibola Famurewa for investing in the lives of young ones.

"I urge you to continue to emulate  Aregbesola sagacity in educational intervention because Aregbesola is the best governor in Nigeria when it comes to proper educational master plan". He concluded

Speaking at the programme Prof Olu Odeyemi congratulate Hon Famurewa for recognizing the future and appreciate him for catching them young.

He therefore urged all educationists in Ijesa Land to join hands with Governor Rauf Aregbesola to make sure that Osun State College of Education, Ilesa upgrade to University. "I will do everything within my power to support Mr Governor on the possibility of upgrading that school to a University of learning" He asserted.

Engineer Falore Eulogize Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for his timely intervention in Osun,  he said the 10km in every local government tarred by him is one of many blessing to the people in the grassroots. You will not appreciate this government of Ogbeni until you lose it. I pray we don't lose it,  that's why we need continuity" He concluded.

Hon Engineer Ajibola Famurewa thanked the organizing committee for their time and wisdom.

Dignitaries present at the programme are Hon Rasak Salinsile, Hon Oluyi Blow(Ilesa North East Chairman), Hon Oni, Hon Ajeleti, Hon Philip (padma), Hon Eniola Adekunle (iya ajinde), Chief Akintola, Chief Sawe of Ijamo, Prof Olu Odeyemi, Eng Olaleye Falore, Hon Adedoyin and other invited guests of honour.
