Osun APC Eagles PHOTONEWS: Rauf Aregbesola Visits Obokun/Oriade, Ijesa North Federal Constituency

Monday the 7th of May, 2018 shall remain a memorable day for the people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency of Obokun and Oriade Local Governments.

All Progressives Congress (APC) loyalists and admirers from Ibokun, Imesi-Ile, Otan-Ile, Esa-Oke, Ilase, Iponda, Ikinyinwa, Idominasi, Ora, Ipetu-Ijesa, Erinmo, Erin-Ijesa, Iloko, Ijeda, Iwaraja, Erin-oke, Ikeji-Arakeji, Ikeji-Ile, Ira-Ikeji, Orisunbare,Iwoye, Owena, Dagbaja, Omo-Ijesa, Ilo-Ayegunle, Ere, Eti-Oni, Apoti, Ijinmo etc, all converge at Ijebu-jesa the headquarter of the Constituency to welcome the Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola.

On arrival at Ijebu-jesa, Governor Rauf Aregbesola paid an homage to The Elegboro of Egboro Land, Ijebu-Ijesha (HRM Oba Engr. Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye.

He was accompanied to the visit by the Osun APC Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun and other party stalwart. Some members of Osun State cabinet were also on the Governor's entourage. These include Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, Engr. Remi Omowaiye and others. Hon. Timothy Owoeye, Leader of Government Business and the Majority Leader of the Osun House of Assembly represented the Speaker of the Osun House, Rt. Hon. Najeen Salaam at the occasion.

After leaving the palace of the Elegboro of Ijebu-jesa, the governor was treated to a colourful reception at the open field of Ijebu-jesa Government High school where many dignitaries, groups and associations that cut across the Constituency have assembled. The Chairman of the visit's planning committee, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye welcomed the governor and his entourage into the arena.

He appreciated the members of the committee starting from Risa High Chief Ogunsanya, Otunba GMK, Hon. Rufus Oluwatayo, Chief Ayodele Christopher and all the leaders in the Constituency.
He also appreciated Prince Gboyega Famodun, Osun APC Chairman and all the cabinet members that came to the Constituency with the governor and the immediate past party Chairman, Elder Lowo Adebiyi.

He elaborated on how Ogbeni concentrated a lot of development on Obokun/Oriade particularly during his first term in office. How the governor picked three Senior Special Advisers from one Ward of this constituency and his commissioners for Finance (Dr. Wale Bolorunduro) and Land (Architect. Muyiwa Ige).
He pinpointed on roads that were reconstructed in the Constituency: such as Ilahun-Ere-Ijebu-jesa, Ilase to UniOsun, Otan to Ipetu, Otan to Igbajo, that is presently under construction.

He advised those party members in the Constituency that are office holders either in the wards or in the Local Government that are unrepentantly engagement in antipathy to have a change of heart or consider leaving the party as a viable option.
He seized the opportunity to appeal to all to abide by the rules of the party.
He appreciated the people of the Constituency for their supports during the past elections. He Appealed to the people of the Constituency to follow the programs of the par for the Governorship election slated for September this year that will be preceded by the primaries. That the processes should be followed prayerfully. He admonished the people never to forget the good achievements of this administration in and around them.

Speech by the representative of the Elders' Council. High Chief J. O. Ogunsanya.

He thanked God and reminded the governor how in 2005 he was welcomed into Ijebu-jesa AD office. Then the governor was a commissioner in Lagos state. He counted some of the laudable achievements of this administration mentioning such like opon Imo, O'meal, O'road, O'school and so on. Highlighting the achievements, he expressed his happiness at welcoming the governor to Ijesa North Federal Constituency.
He asked the governor to start on the road leading to Esaoke from Itawure junction. He mentioned other roads that are begging for attention like Otan-Esaodo, Ibala.
He thanked the governor for creating two more Local Council Development Areas from the Local Government of Oriade and Obokun but he still asked for more LCDAs or Area offices in this Constituency, sighting examples of some wards that are having more than fifteen units. That the whole of Ijebu-jesa is a ward, likewise Esaoke. He asked that for the development of our democracy primaries should be encouraged. He warned those engaging in antiparty activities to desist.
He wished the governor more successes in his future endeavors.

Speech by APC local government party Chairmen representative, Hon. Felix Aboge.

He commended the governor for taking good care of the party members. He gave a report of their visits to Owena and Ipetujesa. He prayed that the governor will be able to commission all the ongoing projects of the Constituency.
He emphasized that the people of Oriade/Obokun are ready to adopt whoever the governor wants as his successor.

Speech by CDC Chairman: Alhaji Sulaiman Kayode.

He showed his appreciation and prayed that God will continue to guide the steps of the governor so that he will be able to handover to a successor that will be able to continue with this development that the people of the Constituency are enjoying. He thanked the governor for paying attention to Erin-Ijesa road.


Speech by the representative of the Women Leaders: Mrs. Funke Ajayi (JP)

She thanked the Governor for giving good consideration to the plight of women in politics. She want the governor to pay attention to Idominasi-Ibokun and at Ward 5 Ibala roads.

Speech from the representative of the Iyaloja: Mrs. Adeyemo Ramotu.

She thanked the governor for his achievements in the Ijesa North Federal Constituency. She specifically appreciated Hon. Bosun Oyintiloye. She prayed that God will choose a good successor for him.
