Candidate of the All Progressives Congress for Ife/Ijesha senatorial zone, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa has congratulated the first national chairman of the APC, Chief Adebisi Akande on his 80th birthday.
Famurewa, in a statement from his media office, described Chief Akande as a political icon of repute whose legacies will continue to endear the test of time.
The lawmaker catalogued the arrays of achievements recorded by the former governor and urged the politicians to always take a cue from him.
He said, "Chief Bisi Akande is man with unparalleled achievements in community service and a political icon who has discovered, nurtured and shielded many younger politicians in the past.
"His contributions towards wrestling the country from the then ruling PDP prior to 2015 elections will forever remain fresh in the political archive of our nation.
"As you celebrate your 80th birthday, the entire people of Ife/Ijesha wish you a healthy life full of wisdom."
