Hon. Femi Kujembola, the Chairman of Atakunmosa East Local Government has vehemently condemned at length the use of the social media in the wrong way, thereby defeating its intents and purposes.
He condemned the rate at which false rumours are being peddled via the internet.
He was referring to how some people recently used and circulated a false story on the social media to malign him.
He recalled that some rumour peddlers recently took to the Facebook to report that the State of Osun Governor, Gboyega Oyetola is displeased with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola the immediate past governor claiming that the members of the Association of Local Government Chairmen in the state have taken sides; one side for Aregbesola led by him and the other for Oyetola led by Hon. Quadiri Owonikoko
Hon. Femi Kujembola noted that it becomes more worrisome to see that some responsible people are giving attention to the quacks, even when they are not oblivious of their antics in spreading rumours and concocted stories that bring down other people.
Hon. Femi Kujembola said that the Osun governor could be likened to a model of the governorship project and he is God sent to maintain good governance and continuity. He urged the people of the state to ignore such rumour of rift, while also describing it as the antics of those who want to profit by creating division between his two bosses. He said he would have ignored the rumour but because of the sensitivity of it to his person.
He maintains his loyalty to his mentor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola who has left an indelible footprint on the sand of Osun politics and his unalloyed support for his current boss, Governor Gboyega Oyetola who is set to move Osun forward the more.
