The State of Osun House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has felicitated with all the Muslims in the State, Nigeria and around the world as today Sunday 11th September, 2019 marks the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir which is equally referred to as Eid al-Adha an Islamic festival to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to follow Allah's command to sacrifice his son.
I want to appeal to all the Muslims faithful that they should not forget the teaching of Islam when doing the festivities. The Speaker said.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Shitu Olaitan, the State of Osun 5th Speaker seized the opportunity to congratulate the State of Osun governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola as he prayed for progress and stability in the State. “This is an opportunity for us to reflect and pray for our State, pray for our dear governor for God’s guidance and good health and pray for all those in leadership positions". He said.
The Eid-el-Kabir celebration kicks off today Sunday and Monday and Tuesday have been set aside as public holidays.
