Osun Budget Defence: OSHA Completes Consideration of 2020 Education Budget as Owoeye Eulogizes House Committees on Thorough Screening of Estimates

The State of House of Assembly (OSHA) has completed the consideration of budget estimates for the education sector with call on the departments and agencies of the ministry to ensure value addiction for government's investments in the sector for the overall development of the state.


The speaker of the State of Osun House of Assembly ,Hon. Timothy Owoeye has today  re-assured the people of the State of Osun massive infrastructure and prompt payment of workers salary amongst others things.

He stated this shortly after the conclusion of today's budget defence exercise in the hallowed chamber while fielding on an interview. He said amongst other things that the people of the state of Osun shall enjoy equitable health delivery, good roads across the state and prompt payment of worker’s salary. He in the same vein eulogises the house committee on finance and appropriation under the leadership of Hon. Taiwo  Adebayo ,for the zealous and excellent job they are doing.

The budget defence exercise enters the fourth day and 6 MDAs were invited for the defence of their budget estimate for the year 2020 fiscal year today. With the success of today’s defence, 23 MDAs has so far defended their budget before the house committee on finance and appropriation.

One would remember Mr speaker’s promise to the executive governor of the state of Osun to expedite action on the “budget of restoration” as tagged by Gov. Oyetola for quick passage. The promise remains firm and unchanged as the body language of the law markers speak volume by not wasting time and leaving no stone unturned.

The MDAs to appear before the house committee on finance and appropriation are;
1. Office of the Auditor-General (state)
2. Office of the Auditor-General (local government )
3. Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
4. Osun Produce Service
5. Osun State Agricultural Development Cooperation  (OSSADEC)
6. Osun State Agricultural Development Programme   (OSSADEP)
