A Glimpse at the 11th Edition of Prof. Foluso Okunmadewa's Breakfast Bash






Wednesday 26th December 2019, witnessed the 11th edition of Prof. Foluso Okunmadewa's annual breakfast bash which is the coming together of family and friends of the host for the purpose of exhorting God in thanksgiving and prayers and the first person to come at 8 o'clock was Chief Akinwande Akinola the Sawe  of Ilesa with his wife.



Significantly, the yearly gathering of notable Ijesa elites, some home based and some from abroad on the end of the year holiday and some even travel down Ilorin, Osogbo, Ado-Ekiti, Ibadan and Lagos yearly for the purpose at the Okunmadewa's Ilesa, Omi-Eran residence. It is an occasion set aside by the family to thank God with the friends of the family for the goodies and protection from God for the year that is expiring and prepare for the new year that is setting in all with prayer, words of exhortation in thanksgiving and culminating in sumptuous breakfast.




Ministering at the occasion, Pastor Olumide Daramola used 2 King 3:16, emphasizing that we must do more than believing in divine deliverance; that things that we have being waiting for will come our ways but we need to prepare for them. He also highlighted the place of forgiveness. "We need to forgive. We must release ourselves from our hurts and rededicate ourselves to God and be thankful for everything, no matter who offended us." He said.

The occasion of the get-together is also to encourage parents and children that attained success after a lot of hard work in 2019, thus, children who graduated were given presents.



Also, Mrs. Yemisi Esho (nee Okunmadewa) received gift for attaining age 60. So also Mr. Adeboye Ademola got gift for celebrating 60, while  Chief Akinola who turned 80 and Mama Ogunbiyi who celebrated her 90th in year 2019 were presented with gifts respectfully.


Dr Bola Onigbogi, an insurance professional and broker for more than two decades, who was named as the 20th president of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) – becoming just the second woman to hold the post was also recognized and presented with special gift by Mrs. Yemisi Okunmadewa.





Chief Makanjuola Afolabi, the new Onilaje of Ilaje also received gift at the occasion for his attainment.

Oba Adetayo Hastrup, Justice Rakheea Hastrup, Chief Yinka Fasuyi, Dr.. Oladimeji Alo, Mr. Bosun Falore Prof. Kola Kazeem, Engr. Remi Omowaiye, Mr. Dosu Gidigbi, Engr. Yemi Oguntominiyi, Chief Afolabi Igbaroola, Mr. Akin Ajayi-Obe, Mr. Seyi Ogundipe, Mr. Wole Iyamu (SAN), Mr. Wale Idowu, Prof Agbeja are some of the dignitaries present at the occassion.
