The honourable Minister of State for Works and Housing, Engineer Abubakar Aliyu and members of his team has inspected the State Government of Osun intervention project on the dualization of Osogbo-Ikirun-Ila Odo-Kwara State boundary road.
The State of Osun commissioner for Works and Housing, Engr. Remi Omowaiye and top officials of his ministry led the delegation of the Minister of State which included the Director for Structure and Rehabilitation, Engr. Yemi Oguntominiyi, the Director Southwest highways, Engr. Folorunso Adebiyi on the inspection which took place on Saturday, 29th February, 2020.
The team from the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing which arrived the State of Osun on Friday and was warmly welcomed by Governor Gboyega Oyetola, has as their assignment to verify and report on projects that are being executed in five States which are Osun, Ondo, Rivers, Balyesa and Cross Rivers.
On arrival on Friday, the team embarked on the inspection of the dualization of 30km Gbongan-Akoda Omoluabi Motorway where the minister appreciated the beauty of the Chief Bisi Akande Trumpet Bridge at Gbongan junction.
The 41.52km Osogbo-Ikirun-Ila Odo-Kwara state boundary dualization project was awarded in 2012 by the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. The project has reached a 51.20 percentage completion with a revised completion time of December 2021.
