As part of ongoing efforts aimed at curtailing the spread of Lassa fever, the Ilesa East Local Government under the administration of Hon. (Otunba) Akeem Adesoji Olowoopejobori has taken the sensitization to the market men and women on the prevention of lassa fever and other communicable diseases.
Over the past few days, the Health Officers of the Council have been used in an attempt to affect various health behaviours of the people. Such campaigns have most notably been aimed at killing of rats, protecting food items from their reach and many other health-related issues.
The Local Government in its campaigns also placed jingles via radio and social media platforms to reach large audiences, apart from posters and flyers with various warning and instructive behaviorally focused messages that are widely distributed.
Monday 3rd of February, 2020, some Health Officers from Ilesa East Local Government were seen interacting with traders and buyers of the popular Sabo Market in Irojo, Ilesa.
