Information reaching our news room has confirmed that the popular Sabo/Irojo market of Ilesa has been put on indefinite suspension.
This was the outcome of a meeting held with the, Seriki Hausa of Ilesa, security operatives, Iyaloja\Babaloja and the Ilesa East Council Chairman and his management team.
The suspension of the market is linked with the uncontrollable arrival of people from the northern part of Nigeria into the town as some of them hide in trailers bringing goods to the market.
Recall that Governor Gboyega Oyetola has announced that major markets are forbidden until further notice while announcing a partial relaxation of the lockdown order to prevent the spread of the dreaded Coronavirus in the state but despite this traders still gather at the Ilesa Sabo/Irojo market on daily basis.
