Osun Assembly Screens Chairman, Commandant of Amotekun Corps

The Speaker Osun state House of Assembly, (OSHA), Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye has urged the nominees of Govenor Gboyega Oyetola as Chairman and Commandant of the State Security Network Agency to do their best in eradicating crimes from the state.

The Osun State House of Assembly on Thursday 23rd July, 2020 screened Brigadier General Isa Aderibigbe and Retired Brigadier General Bashir Adewimbi as Chairman and Commander of Osun State Security Network Agency code named “Amotekun”.

Osun State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola has earlier sent a letter to the Assembly where he nominated Retired Brigadier General Isa Aderibigbe as Chairman, Governing Board of Osun State Security Network Agency, and Retired Brigadier General Bashir Adewimbi as Corps Commander of the Security outfit.

Answering questions on how to better secure life and property of the people of the state, Retired Brigadier General Bashir Adewimbi, promised to prevent influx of bandits and criminals and to improve on surveillance at the border towns and remote areas while relying on the synergies that would gained at working with other existing security outfits in the state.
