Thor Exploration Ltd. is building the Nigeria's first large scale gold mine in Iperindo. The Segilola Gold Mine is nearing completion some metres away from the Odo-Ijesa- Iperindo roadway that was reconstructed by Ogbeni Rauif Adesoji Aregbesola regime and the facility will start producing gold in 2021.
The heavy vehicles being used for the construction must be moved to the site and more very heavy ones are expected. These heavy vehicles are not anticipated at the time the road was designed. The effect of their movement can no be noticed by the damage that is causing frequent travellers to Iperindo from Ilesa some concerns.
