Osun Schools Open Day: SUBEB Boss Lauds Teachers and Students for Exemplary Conducts ......By Sofiu Abdulganiyu




 


The Executive Chairman, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB , Hon. Ajibola Famurewa has expressed satisfaction about the general performance of students and teachers of  schools visited on the occasion of  this term's Open Day program  throughout  the state.

Popularly known as  Open Day , it  is a day Specially set aside for parents to have an interface with their children's teachers on their academic performance and other sundry matters.




In the process, the  SUBEB  boss visited schools located in Obokun, Oriade, Ilesa West and Ilesa East local governments .


While  addressing the students  in all the schools visited, Hon. Famurewa  implored them not to neglect the use of face masks, hand hygiene and social distancing as measures to preventing the spread of Covid-19. He also advised them to be of good  behaviour and face their studies squarely, stressing that the best of education is the best of light.




In an interview with newsmen shortly after an on the spot inspection of the situation of things in the schools visited, Hon. Famurewa reechoed the essence of the program saying it  is to avail parents , teachers and students the opportunity to meet one another to exchange views and pleasantries .



He advised teachers to ensure that they do their work diligently by taking proper care of school children put under their custodies just as he urged parents to also take good care of their children.




As a mark of honour, Hon. Famurewa and his team paid a courtesy call on the Alademure Of Ibokun,Oba Festus Awogboro  and Elegboro of Ijebu-jesa,  Oba (Engr.) Moses Oluwafemi Agunsoye II, of Ijebu-jesa in the Oba Ibokun palace for royal blessings.





It was a moment of momentous joy like no other when the SUBEB Boss, Hon.Ajibola Famurewa  purchased school uniforms  for some dawntrodden children during his visit to schools.


The schools visited include: St. Michael RCM Grammar School, Ibokun, Methodist Primary School, Ibokun, Ibokun Grammar school Ibokun, Muslim Community Primary School Ijebu-jesa.


Others were DTC Demonstration Primary School, Ijebu-jesa, St. Micheal RCM Grammar School, Ibokun, Methodist High School, Ilesa and Ilesa Grammar School, Ilesa.
