4th Annual Ramadan Lecture at Ilase-Ijesa; Ekiti Chief Imam, Abdul Mutaleeb talks on the role of leaders

 



Oba Isiaka Adesina Ajarabiolu II the Alase Of Ilase on Sunday, May 2nd 2021 hosted the 2021 Annual Ramadan Lecture, the 4th of it's kind at the Alase of Ilase courtyard.


At the event that also featured recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, the guest lecturer Dr. Abdul Mutaleeb, who is the Chief Imam Ansar-Ud-Deen, Ekiti State spoke on the theme "The role of a leader and a Subject."

Dr. Abdul Mutaleeb in his lecture lamented the current situation in Nigeria where people are having distrust for leaders. He stressed that honesty is germaine. "No one can trust a dishonest person." He said.

According to him, Nigerians must practice godliness toward one another as he highlighted the quality of a good and dependable leader that include honesty, integrity, confidence, commitment, ability to inspire others, decision making capabilities among others.


In her goodwill message, the Mother of the Day, Chief Mrs Dupe Ajayi Gbadebo thee Special Adviser to the Governor, State of Osun, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Osun State Signage and Advertisement Agency, popularly known as O’Signage, Mrs Dupe Ajayi stressed the need for religious harmony and tolerance among Nigerians.


She advised Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of Ramadan in their daily, communal and national lives saying making the lessons of ramadan to bear in all spheres of Nigeria's national lives will help the nation out of her present social, economic, political and security challenges.


Barrister (Mrs) Ajayi Gbadebo congratulated the Alase of Ilase and the entire muslim community in the town for the success of this year's edition of the annual ramadan lecture.


Some of the guests in attendance include Otunba Akin Olaore Rafiu, the Otunba Bobakeye of Ilase-Ijesa, Magistrate Bayo Ajala, Chief Mufutau Olorunnisola, Oba Samson Aderibigbe, the Onibontoro of Ibontoro, Oba Alhaji Abdeen Adeyemi, the Alamo of Ayegbaju, Oba Lawrence Ajayi, the Alahun of Ilahun, the wife of Oloruwo of Oruwo, Alhaji Sodeed Dauda, the Chief Imam of Ilase, Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi of Obokun State Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Chief Afolabi Olajide Olawole and a host of others.
