Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Saturday visited the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, at his residence in Abuja.
Wike, who is the leader of the group of five governors in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also joined Gbajabiamila – a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to break Ramadan fast.
The speaker made this known in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday night.
He said : “Gov. Nyesom Wike paid me a courtesy visit at home this evening. We broke Ramadan fast together.”
Wike has not hidden his political romance of some APC leaders even as the Rivers governor reportedly worked for the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to emerge victorious in the 25 February election.
Recall that Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State was in Rivers a few days ago where he heaped praises on Wike for his decision to ensure power moved to the South as against the stand of PDP that fielded a northerner – Atiku Abubakar, in the presidential election.
