Twins, others ‘cultists’ arrested in Esa-Oke for murder






Osun State Police Command has arrested twin brothers, Taiwo Adeleke and Kehinde Adeleke and three other persons suspected to be cultists in connection with murder of one Abiodun Toyeeb Apalara in Esa-Oke, Obokun local government area of the State.


Other suspects are Ibrahim Qudus, , Ojo Ayobami and Ojo Oretu. They were paraded by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Yemisi Opalola on Wednesday.


Opalola said the suspects were arrested by the Special Anti-Cultism from the Police team.


She said, “On 27th of April, Police received a distress call that there was a fracas among some hoodlums suspected to be cultists in Esa-Oke which led to the death Abiodun Toyeeb Apalara”.


“Investigation mechanisms revealed the deceased Apalara killed by some armed hoodlums suspected to be members of Black Axe confraternity also known as Aye confraternity, Apalara was also a member of Alora confraternity also known as Buccaneer confraternity”.


Opalola urged the residents of Osun State to always call on her or the Police Commissioner, if they have cases to report, adding that Police can never be everywhere.


“Don’t be afraid to give Police information because We work with Informations”.


“Your information is safe with us, the suspects are currently in police custody and will be charged in court after the completion of investigations”. she said.


The leader of the gang, Ibrahim Qudus said he feels bad about the whole situation.
