Details Of Meeting Between APC National Chairman, APC NWC, And State Chairmen Emerge

Details have emerged regarding the meeting between the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the APC National Working Committee (NWC), and state chairmen from across Nigeria.

The meeting took place on Monday, and Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, Chairman of Borno, led the other 31 state chairmen.

During the meeting, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, the APC national chairman, shed light on the delay in President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial list. He explained that Tinubu was conducting extensive consultations before officially announcing the ministers and heads of ministries, departments, and agencies.

Adamu cautioned party members not to set high expectations for ministerial appointments, as not everyone could be appointed to such positions.

Adamu stated, “Every APC member has the right to hope for some level of patronage. However, we cannot all become ministers or hold positions as board members, directors, or chief executives of various agencies across the country. The president is currently engaged in extensive consultations, and once the nominees for ministers are finalized, they will undergo the screening process before being formally appointed and sworn in. Only then will the country be informed of the ministerial portfolios and the number of ministries.”

He further added that after the ministers assume office and provide comprehensive reports on their respective ministries, the government will evaluate the vacancies available for chief executives, directors, and part-time directors.

Adamu emphasised that these processes would take place over the next two months, highlighting that it could not be accomplished within the following week.

During the meeting, the APC national chairman also condemned the kidnapping of Paul Omotosho, the Ekiti APC Chairman, and expressed prayers for the swift recovery of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, who is currently ailing.
