Towards a successful 2nd edition of Ijesa Unity Carnival, the activities of the logistics committee, a group drawn from the elegbejegbes and saddled with the responsibility of planning and execution of all logistical aspects of the carnival slated for Sunday, 21st December, 2025, featured a meeting at the Iwude Ijesa Secretariat, Okemese, Adimula Palace Square yesterday (24/6/2025).
The meeting handled the behind-the-scenes intricacies such as venue, canopies, security, publicity, medical etc and projecting the way forward by building on the experience of the maiden edition.

Recall that the first edition of Ijesa Unity Carnival that centered around the theme "Rebranding of the Rebranded Iwude Ijesa Ceremony" commenced on the 13th and closed on 22nd, December 2024 when it was resolved to widen the scope of Iwude Ijesa activities to make it a catalyst for unity and development among Ijesa people.

The Iwude Ijesa Planning Committee under the watch of Chief Afolabi Igbaroola had sought the permission of the then Owa Obokun Adimula Paramount Ruler of Ijesaland, Oba Dr Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran on changing the day of celebration to the Sunday following the Saturday's Iwude Ijesa festival and to move the venue of the grande reception from the Obokungbusi Civic Centre to Ilesa Grammar School mini Sports Arena.
