Morning of Giving: Education in Focus

The 7th day of the AOF @ 70 Celebration will begin promptly at 9:00 am with a heartfelt gesture from the Egbe Yeye Gbobaluyi Adimula of Ijesaland, honouring the life and legacy of the celebrant and life patron, Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, through an educational outreach.

In a bid to inspire academic excellence and support young learners, 300 Customised School Bags and 500 Notebooks & Pens will be distributed to students of Oba Agunlejika Secondary School, Ilesa and Otapete Methodist Primary School, Ilesa. This act of giving not only embodies the celebrant’s deep commitment to education but also reaffirms the principle that empowering children is the most enduring investment in the future of Ijesaland.

The joy in the eyes of the students and the pride in their teachers’ faces will be a powerful testament to Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi’s belief that no dream should be limited by the absence of basic learning tools.

Midday of Unity – Ijesa Diasporans Day with Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi

By 12:00 noon, the celebration reaches an unprecedented highlight at the Gold City Event Centre, Ilesa, with the much-anticipated Ijesa Diasporans Day with Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi.

This event marks a historic first in the annals of Ijesaland: a powerful demonstration of unanimity and solidarity as illustrious Ijesa Sons and Daughters from Canada, the USA, Europe, Africa, and Asia leave behind their work, families, and personal commitments to converge on their ancestral home.

Their collective decision to travel across continents to honour their Asiwaju of Ijesaland @ 70 is a testament to the depth of respect, admiration, and unity that binds the global Ijesa community. Such a moment has never happened before in our history.

The day will be more than a celebration, it will be a fusion of cultures, shared experiences, and renewed pride in our heritage. It will serve as a platform to strengthen ties between the homeland and the diaspora, explore collaborative opportunities, and celebrate the global impact of Ijesa excellence. Through interactive sessions, powerful speeches, and cultural showcases, the event will underscore the indispensable role of the diaspora in driving the continued growth and development of Ijesaland.

Friends, families, associates, and well-wishers are warmly invited to partake in this inspiring gathering of generosity, unity, and vision. From the hopeful voices of children in our schools to the grand narratives shared in the event hall, your presence will complete this landmark celebration, a day where history meets destiny for Ijesaland.
