2026 Osun Governorship Poll: Global Technocrat Engr. Seyi Faseun Backs Oyebamiji, Tinubu

A United States and United Kingdom–based technocrat, Seyi Faseun, has declared his readiness to mobilise widespread support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.

Faseun also reaffirmed his commitment to the re-election bid of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing it as crucial to sustaining ongoing national reforms and economic transformation.

Speaking with journalists at his residence, Faseun, popularly known as Bibire, expressed confidence in Oyebamiji’s capacity to provide purposeful and progressive leadership for Osun State. He assured party faithful that he would deploy his resources, professional network, and influence to ensure the APC secures victory at the polls.

The engineer is the son of the late J.M.O. Faseun, founder of Ebenezer Group of Schools and the first Asiwaju of Ijeda Ijesa. He noted that his political engagement is inspired by the enduring legacy of service left by his father, whom he described as a symbol of generosity and grassroots development in Ijeda Ijesa and beyond.

According to him, honouring that legacy requires active participation in promoting good governance and progressive ideals. Faseun stated that supporting Oyebamiji aligns with his vision for sustainable growth, infrastructural expansion, and inclusive leadership in Osun State.

A seasoned professional with extensive international experience, Faseun has built a career spanning the banking, aviation, and railway sectors across the United States and the United Kingdom. His track record in strategic innovation and operational excellence, he said, has equipped him with valuable insight into infrastructure planning and economic development.

Reaffirming his commitment to public service, Faseun called on party members and residents of Osun State to rally behind Oyebamiji and support President Tinubu’s renewed mandate, stressing that collective effort remains essential for sustainable development and long-term prosperity.
