The Chairman of the Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA), Asiwaju Olayinka Fasuyi, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful and the entire Ijesa community on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message released on Friday, Fasuyi congratulated members of the ICDA, particularly Muslims, as well as all sons and daughters of Ijesaland at home and in the diaspora, on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
He described Ramadan as a spiritually significant period dedicated to fasting, prayer, reflection, and renewed devotion to Allah, noting that it offers an opportunity for adherents to deepen their faith and embrace values such as sacrifice, compassion, unity, and generosity.
“As we celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, it is important that the spiritual gains of Ramadan continue to guide our actions and relationships in the months ahead,” he stated.
Fasuyi emphasized that Eid-el-Fitr should not only be seen as a time of celebration but also as an opportunity to reinforce collective commitment to peace, unity, and sustainable development in Ijesaland.
He urged the people to work together in harmony, regardless of religious or geographical differences, to advance the progress and wellbeing of the community.
The ICDA chairman further called on residents to uphold the virtues of kindness, selflessness, and shared responsibility cultivated during Ramadan, stressing the importance of mutual support and active contribution to the development of Ijesaland.
He also offered prayers for the acceptance of the fasts, prayers, and good deeds of Muslim faithful, while wishing all a joyful and fulfilling Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Fasuyi signed the message from Oke Baba Okuta Villa, Ilesa, on March 20, 2026.
