Residents of Erinmo-Ijesa in Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Osun State, have expressed relief and appreciation following the successful conclusion of a comprehensive medical outreach, food distribution, and welfare support programme facilitated by Engr. Ademola Isaac Agoro.
The impactful initiative, specifically organised for Ward 12 of Oriade Local Government—covering Iwaraja, Oke Ana, Ijinmo, Araromi, Ayetoro, Omo-Ijesa, and Erinmo-Ijesa—was coordinated by Hon. Nathaniel Agunbiade.
The programme provided free medical consultations, basic treatments, and essential drugs to hundreds of constituents. In addition, food items including rice, garri, and beans were distributed to vulnerable households to cushion the effects of economic hardship. Cash grants and ankara materials were also given to elderly beneficiaries, further extending support to the most vulnerable in the community.
The event featured engaging side attractions, including presentations by pupils of Janet Agoro Private Primary School and students of Joshua Alaba Agoro Secondary School, adding a lively and cultural dimension to the outreach.
Several dignitaries delivered goodwill messages at the event. APC leader, Gabriel Ogunsanya, commended Engr. Agoro for his humanitarian efforts and appealed for continued support for the All Progressives Congress. He also called for increased voter registration and urged stakeholders to support developmental initiatives, including the provision of land for a proposed residential estate in Erinmo-Ijesa. Additionally, he advocated for the elevation of the Elerinmo to the position of Chairman of a Federal University.
Also speaking, Oriade APC Chairman, Hon. Ajewole Kayode Olugbenga, popularly known as Golo, encouraged attendees to emulate Engr. Agoro’s persistence in uplifting the less privileged, particularly in the area of education for children across the ward.
The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Government, Hon. Olubunmi Obeisun, expressed appreciation to Engr. Agoro and called on residents to support him, noting that such initiatives contribute meaningfully to grassroots development. He also referenced the impactful contributions of Hon. Agunbiade during his tenure in the House of Representatives, particularly the Erinmo-Ijesa Town Hall project.
Ward 12 Councillor, Olumide Oladapo, alongside Felix Aboge, also appealed to constituents to support the APC, citing Engr. Agoro’s consistent interventions as a basis for continued trust.
The event was graced by religious and traditional leaders, including the Chief Imam of Erinmo-Ijesa Central Mosque, as well as royal fathers such as the Alana of Oke-Ana, HRM Oba Adegbuyi Adegbenga Joseph, and the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesa, HRM Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi, who offered prayers and goodwill messages.
In his remarks, the Elerinmo expressed gratitude to God, party leaders, and the convener, noting that Engr. Agoro, a son of the soil and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, has consistently supported Erinmo-Ijesa, particularly through his free education initiatives.
Speaking earlier, Engr. Isaac Agoro reiterated that the outreach reflects his commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people of Oriade/Obokun, especially at a time when many families face economic challenges.
The event also featured expressions of political solidarity, with participants reaffirming their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the APC candidate in the Osun State governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
With a vibrant atmosphere, strong turnout, and a wide range of interventions spanning healthcare, food security, financial aid, and community engagement, the outreach has been widely described as a compassionate and far-reaching initiative that directly addressed pressing needs across Ward 12 and the broader Oriade/Obokun constituency.
