Owa Haastrup Extols Olumobi’s Integrity, Leadership, Calls Him “Best Among Princes”






The Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup has expressed deep joy and pride in his cousin, Oba Dr. Adetayo Haastrup, following his recent presentation of the staff of office and instrument of appointment by the Osun State Government.


Speaking during a courtesy visit by the newly installed monarch, the Owa described Oba Adetayo Haastrup as eminently deserving, noting that his emergence marks a significant milestone in his life and in the history of Imobi-Ijesa.




“I am happy that Olumobi Tayo Haastrup has arrived at this stage in his life because he is befitting and admirable,” the Owa said, noting that despite past contests for the Owa stool, all differences have now become history.


He further commended the Olumobi’s qualities, highlighting his education, integrity, and reputation. According to the Owa, Oba Adetayo Haastrup stood out among the next generation of princes as the most suitable candidate for leadership.


The paramount ruler also used the occasion to address past misunderstandings within the family, revealing that efforts had been made to reconcile differences after the coronation. He expressed confidence that any lingering issues between them would not escalate, emphasizing their close relationship and belief in the healing power of time.


In his remarks, the Owa acknowledged the Olumobi’s contributions to the development of Imobi-Ijesa and offered prayers for continued success, financial prosperity, and good health.




He also praised the Olumobi’s wife for her steadfast support, describing her as a strong pillar behind her husband’s achievements.






The meeting, which symbolized unity and reconciliation within the royal family, was marked by a renewed commitment to peace and progress. The Owa expressed delight that the occasion would demonstrate to the public that harmony has been restored within the Haastrup family.
