Friends Purchase APC Senatorial Form for Femi Oyetola in Osun Central

‎A group of associates and political allies under the aegis of the “Committee of Friends” has purchased the senatorial nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Femi Oyetola, ahead of the Osun Central Senatorial District race.

‎Femi Oyetola is the son of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

‎The forms were formally presented on Sunday in Osogbo by Kehinde Ayantunji, a former Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs and Social Mobilisation during the administration of Adegboyega Oyetola. Ayantunji said the gesture was aimed at encouraging Oyetola to join the senatorial contest.

‎According to him, members of the Committee of Friends contributed a total of ₦20 million to procure the forms, citing Oyetola’s track record in youth empowerment and political inclusion over the past decade as a key motivation.

‎He noted that the group believes Oyetola possesses the leadership capacity required to effectively represent Osun Central at the National Assembly if elected.

‎Speaking at the event, the Osun APC State Youth Leader, Goke Akinwomimo, commended the initiative, describing it as a positive step toward strengthening youth participation within the party. He urged more young members of the APC to show interest in elective positions and called on party leaders to create more opportunities for youth representation.

‎In a related development, no fewer than 120 APC youth leaders from local governments and wards across the 10 councils in Osun Central Senatorial District endorsed the forms for onward submission to the party’s national secretariat.

‎The presentation ceremony was attended by several party stakeholders, including APC Deputy State Youth Leader,
Hon. Ibraheem Wasiu Ayinde; Osun Central Senatorial Youth Leader, Hon. Wasiu Iyanda; Chairman of Ede South Local Government, Hon. Kola Salami; and other youth leaders and political figures within the district.
