The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has congratulated Nigerian Ambassador-designate to Canada, Isaac Folorunso Adewole, on the occasion of his 72nd birthday.
In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Osogbo on Tuesday, Oyebamiji described Adewole as a “living legend” and an “encyclopedia of wisdom, knowledge and intellect,” whose contributions have significantly impacted humanity.
Adewole, an Osun-born academic, is a Professor of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. He previously served as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan and as Nigeria’s Minister of Health. He is currently the country’s Ambassador-designate to Canada.
Oyebamiji commended the former minister’s contributions to national development, particularly in the health sector, noting that his service record remains remarkable and worthy of emulation.
He also rejoiced with the family of the celebrant, attributing his longevity and accomplishments to divine grace.
“On behalf of my family, I warmly celebrate our father, mentor and leader on the occasion of his 72nd birthday. Witnessing a great day like this is by divine grace, and I rejoice with him for the great things God has enabled him to achieve,” Oyebamiji said.
He further praised Adewole’s leadership roles in academia and public service, stating that his contributions to national growth and development are immeasurable.
Oyebamiji prayed for continued good health, long life, and prosperity for the elder statesman as he marks another milestone.
