Prince Ayoade Adewopo, a prominent son of Ile-Ife and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended heartfelt condolences to the Osun State APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, over the painful loss of his beloved wife, Alhaja Fatimah Oreoluwa Lawal.
In a statement released to the press on Saturday, Prince Adewopo described the death of Alhaja Fatimah as a heartbreaking tragedy, noting that she was not only a devoted wife and mother but also the matriarch who held the Lawal family together.
Describing the loss as "irreplaceable," Prince Adewopo acknowledged the vital role the deceased played as a pillar of support for her husband, who is widely regarded as a stabilising force within the Osun APC.
"Alhaja Fatimah Oreoluwa Lawal was a virtuous woman, a devoted Muslim, and a quiet strength behind her husband's political and personal life," Prince Adewopo said. "To lose a soulmate and the mother of one's children is a burden only faith can ease."
Prince Adewopo, who shares deep roots in Osun's traditional and progressive political landscape, prayed that Almighty Allah would grant the deceased a place in Al-Jannah Firdaus and grant Sooko Lawal and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Alhaja Fatimah passed away following a brief illness, leaving behind her husband, children, and a legacy of compassion and humility.
Prince Adewopo called on political associates, friends, and well-wishers to continue supporting the Lawal family with prayers during this difficult time.
