The All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed gratitude to voters in Ilesa East Local Government Area for trooping out en masse to support it in Saturday’s election.
In a statement signed by the APC Ilesa East Campaign Council, the APC said it was overwhelmed by the support and goodwill shown by voters across all the eleven wards of the council area
The party described the election results as clear and decisive, noting that APC defeated the Accord Party by about four thousand votes.
The APC specifically appreciated community groups, business associations, market women under the Iyaloja, women’s groups, neighborhood associations, non-indigenes, local government workers, teachers, pensioners, and all party members for their contributions to the victory.
The statement said with the 2027 general elections, the Presidential and National Assembly scheduled to hold in January and February around the corner, the APC urged all residents to continue its support for the APC and ensure that it records another victory.
The statement assured residents that the federal government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would not abandon the people, and that more federal developmental projects and benefits would come to the area.
