Sen. Fadahunsi Celebrates Owa Obokun at 78 ‎…Describes him as a Symbol of Wisdom and Enduring Leadership






The Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries, Distinguished Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, has congratulated the Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, His Imperial Majesty, Owa Clement Adesuyi Haastrup, Ajimoko III, on his 78th birthday.


Senator Fadahunsi described the monarch as a symbol of wisdom, enduring leadership, stability and the preservation of Ijesa cultural heritage.


In a congratulatory message signed by his Head of Media and Public Enlightenment, Omole Olusegun Omo-Osodi, the senator commended the Owa for what he described as his ability to combine modern legal principles with deeply rooted traditional values.


According to Senator Fadahunsi, “It takes a discerning mind to balance the rigours of modern jurisprudence with the sanctity of tradition.”


Fadahunsi Commends Owa’s Leadership

The senator also commended Owa Haastrup for his leadership of Ijesaland, saying the monarch has continued to balance modernity and tradition while carrying out his responsibilities to the people.


He said he and his family had joined the people of Ijesaland, Osun State and Nigeria to celebrate the Owa Obokun as a royal father and unifying figure.





“Today, as he marks his 78th birthday, on behalf of the entire Osun East Senatorial District, my family and I join the people of Ijesaland and Osun State in honouring and celebrating our Royal Father,” he said.


Senator Fadahunsi further prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, strength and wisdom to enable him to serve the people for many more years.


“We pray that Almighty God preserves you in good health and grants you continued clarity and strength for many more years to come,” he added.


He concluded his message with the traditional birthday prayer:

“Kabiyesi, igba odun, odun kan; a hin ha pe bi han ara owuro.”
