The Alaa of Ilaa Ijesa, His Royal Majesty Oba (Dr.) Ojarotade Adewale, alongside the Alaa-in-Council, has extended warm greetings and goodwill messages to Muslim faithful in Ilaa Ijesa, Osun State, and across Nigeria on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Adha celebration.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the monarch congratulated Muslims on witnessing another Eid-ul-Adha festival, describing the occasion as a sacred celebration of faith, sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to Almighty Allah.

Oba Ojarotade Adewale, who is also the President of the Network of Kings, prayed for Allah’s acceptance of the prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship offered by Muslim faithful during the celebration.

The royal father noted that Eid-ul-Adha remains a profound reminder of the unwavering faith and total submission of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to the will of Almighty Allah, adding that the lesson of sacrifice and devotion continues to inspire humanity across religious and cultural boundaries.

According to the monarch, the values of compassion, charity, sacrifice, and communal solidarity associated with the festival are essential virtues needed for peaceful coexistence and sustainable community development.

He also acknowledged the rich Islamic heritage and contributions of Muslims to the growth and unity of society, stressing that the spirit of Qurbani, which encourages sharing with the less privileged, serves as a reminder that society must continue to care for the vulnerable and needy.

Oba Adewale further prayed for peace, good health, and abundant blessings for all Muslim families, while also seeking Allah’s guidance and protection for Nigerian pilgrims performing Hajj in Makkah.

The monarch called for continued unity, harmony, and peaceful coexistence among residents of Ilaa Ijesa and Nigerians at large, urging citizens to embrace love, tolerance, and mutual understanding for the progress of the nation.

The statement was signed by Oba (Dr.) Ojarotade Adewale, Alaa of Ilaa Ijesa, on behalf of the Alaa-in-Council.
