APC-Led Council Chairmen Receive Commendation for Procuring 90 Security Vehicles in Osun

‎The recent procurement of 90 standard operational vehicles for security agencies by APC-led local government chairmen in Osun State has drawn commendation from party loyalists and political observers, who described the move as a major boost to security operations across the state.

‎Supporters of the initiative argued that the development highlights what they described as a proactive commitment to strengthening security infrastructure at the grassroots level, contrasting it with what they termed the alleged inaction of the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke in nearly four years of governance.

‎Critics of the state government claimed that despite the substantial financial resources available to the Adeleke-led administration, no operational motorcycles or security vans have been provided to security agencies since he assumed office.

‎They further accused the administration of prioritising what they described as extravagant spending on luxury vehicles for political associates instead of addressing pressing security and economic concerns confronting the state.

‎Particularly, allegations have trailed reports that a top political figure within the administration is allegedly in possession of a luxury vehicle said to be worth about ₦350 million, a development critics described as insensitive considering the prevailing economic hardship and growing security challenges in Osun State.

‎Political stakeholders aligned with the opposition insisted that public funds should be channelled toward projects and interventions that directly impact the welfare and safety of residents rather than what they called “unnecessary displays of political luxury.”

‎The development has further heightened political debate ahead of future electoral contests in the state, with opposition voices urging Osun residents to carefully assess the performance of the current administration and make informed decisions at the polls.
