Osun APC to Hold Reconciliation Meeting Amidst Post-Primary Tensions ‎

‎The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to hold a reconciliation meeting next week with disenchanted members who were unhappy with the party's governorship primary election held on December 13, 2025. The meeting, to be led by the State Working Committee (SWC), aims to address grievances over the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji as the party's consensus candidate.

‎State Chairman Sooko Tajudeen Lawal attributed the delay in holding the meeting to an unforeseen official visit to Abuja. He commended party delegates for their peaceful conduct during the primary, citing the party's strength as its continuous unity, which has led to numerous successes despite being in opposition.

‎Lawal urged members to work together to unseat Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 8, 2026, election, emphasizing the party's determination to reclaim the state. Oyebamiji's emergence as the consensus candidate was endorsed by President Bola Tinubu, who praised the party's unity and spirit of reconciliation.
