Family members, political associates, and well-wishers gathered in Ilesa, Osun State, to pay their final respects to the late Snr./Mother-in-Israel, Abigael Abike Morolayo (née Agboola), who passed away on December 16, 2025, at the age of 85.
The funeral rites, which drew dignitaries and community members, were marked by solemn tributes and heartfelt moments celebrating a life of service, faith, and family devotion.
The deceased was the mother of Hon. Akeem Adesoji Olowoopejobori, former Chairman of Ilesa East Local Government, and a respected figure within grassroots political mobilization circles, particularly among supporters of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).

Proceedings began with the movement of the body from De-Love Mortuary, located at the Ilesa Stadium, at 10:00 a.m.
Later in the day, a Christian wake-keep was held at her residence on Olasupo Street, Bonnke Quarters, Ilesa, where friends, family, and church members gathered for prayers, hymns, and tributes.

The burial service took place at Rest Park & Garden, Akad Area, along the Ilesa/Osogbo Road, starting at 9:00 a.m. Clergymen officiated the service, emphasizing the virtues of the late matriarch.
A thanksgiving service followed at the Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Oke-Ooye, Ilesa, at 11:00 a.m., where gratitude was offered for her impactful life.
The events concluded with a reception at Zenabab Halfmoon Resorts along Ijebu-Jesa Road, Ilesa, where guests were entertained and shared memories of the deceased.
