The All Progressives Congress (APC) Osun East Senatorial Candidate, Engr. Ajibola Famurewa has visited the Ilesa West party Executives and members to strategize ahead of the 2023 general election.
Famurewa who spoke during the General Meeting on Sunday, seized the occasion to assure the people of Osun East Senatorial District of effective and qualitative representation if elected into the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.
He expressed his discontent over the violent tendencies being manifested by the People Democratic Party's (PDP) members in recent time as he advised the Osun PDP to tow the path of decent democratic principles by stopping all kinds of threats and violence that are strange to democratic rules as he assured that adequate security will be provided for a smooth and successful general election in the state.
Receiving the APC Senatorial Candidate at the Isokun, Ilesa party Secretary, party leaders who addressed the gathering in turns assured Hon. Famurewa that Ilesa West APC will carry out a massive campaign and mobilize voters to vote for all APC Candidates at the February 25th and March 11th, 2023 elections
While thanking Ilesa West APC party members for the warm reception given to him, he assured that it’s not business as usual anymore given the new innovations from INEC (BVAS) plus the new electoral law, insisting that their votes will surely count this time for all the APC candidates from Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Presidential contest, his Senate seat, Hon. L. B. Ayeni House Representatives second term bid and Hon. Wale Adedoyin's Osun State House of Assembly's second term reelection.
The former Osun State commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr. Remi Omowaiye while welcoming Famurewa to the meeting remarked that Famurewa is a disciplined man who believes that when given the opportunity to represent Osun East at the Senate, he will fight for the general interest of the Ife/Ijesa zone as he assured that members of Ilesa West APC and the entire leadership are on the same page to be engaged as canvassers that will take the campaign to all nooks and crannies of Ijesaland.
After the meeting, members were led by the APC Ilesa West leadership on a street walk from Isokun to Itabalogun.
