Threat to Violence in Osun: Kudos to DSS, others •Arrest the remaining of them... By Wale Oguntade

 

We must commend the Osun Command of the DSS for arresting Hon. Clement Olohunwa, PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ila Federal Constituency and Hon. Sarafadeen Awotunde Spain, another PDP chieftain from Ikirun, for openly mobilising their supporters to attack, shoot and maim APC members and supporters in Osun.

But Hon. Sanya Omirin and Hon. Lere Oyewumi have still not shown any remorse. They were part of the meeting in Osogbo where the whole attack was planned.

Part of what Hon. Spain from Ikirun said was some of the highlights of the Osogbo meeting. They are in league with some police officers, led by the Governor's CSO, to kit their thugs with police uniforms towards the election. These thugs will now move from house to house to arrest APC members and supporters 72 hours to the presidential election.

This is why, as concerned citizens, we believe the security operatives, especially the DSS must not relent. Osun PDP is known for violence. They must not be allowed to set Osun on fire!
